A journey between Mum’bye’ – ‘Hi’derabad

It’s been a long time since I published my last blog post back in March 2010. Now I am trying my best to pen down my thoughts on my stay in Mumbai.

Oct 2010 – I have completed my fresher learning program in mainframes in Capgemini and was on bench for three long months (But sometimes I felt it as a short period of golden time). Few of my batch mates got interview calls from a project in Mumbai and they rejected to come down to Mumbai for working in that project. After 6 to 7 rejections from our batch mates, I have got my chance on one day. I felt that as an opportunity in my career, answered the questions and accepted the offer. I was a bit happy and scary about leaving Hyderabad and moving to Mumbai. My batch mates saw me as if I did a mistake by accepting the project offer in Mumbai.

Nov 2010 – I came to Mumbai for the first time with lots of aspirations, dreams and one goal in my mind (to survive in this project). The project team was comprised of members from different parts of India. I was the only Telugu speaking person in the team and moreover I do not have any contacts here. Initially I felt alone for few days, faced lot of troubles with my stay in Mumbai. I also missed the days when I used to play Table Tennis in the office and share laughs with my friends. So, I had decided not to stay here for more than a year.

Dec 2010 – I have got many friends after shifted to a new room and enjoyed my stay there. I have got news that my team is going to start with few members in Hyderabad as well. And one more Telugu speaking guy has joined our team in Mumbai. I was so happy and saw a ray of hope in moving back to Hyderabad in near future.

Year 2011 - Firstly, the year 2011 was a year of goals for me and turned out to be a remarkable year in my career. I have had many memorable moments in this period of time in my professional career. Since it is my first project in IT, I have set many goals for myself and I am happy that I have reached most of them today.

I have got support from each of my team member and learned a lot in this project both technically and functionally. I had lot of fun in the team and I never forget the team outings, early morning & night shifts, and parties (especially Juice parties in cafeteria) that we celebrated.

In my 14 months of stay in Mumbai, I mainly focused on my career and stayed away from many things that I used to do. Now I am going back to reach my destiny – Hyderabad. So, it’s the time for me to move on. It’s the time to learn new things. It’s the time to set new goals and achieve them. And finally it’s the time to start playing my favourite sports again like Cricket, Badminton etc.

Looking forward to have a fun filled time in Hyderabad.

CCL

IPL3 - A great start for MI and RCB teams. The IPL tournament reminds me the CCL tournament which we played a year ago in our college hostel. CCL means Corridor Cricket League. The rules were different and played with a smiley ball. We had some legendary performances in that tourney from Chaitanya A.K.A Pista, Murali, Sridhar etc. Daily evening 7 to 12, we used to play these matches for almost 3 months. Few of us skipped their dinner and participated in it as well. We enjoyed a lot while playing against Chaitu and Sridhar. Because it’s worth watching Chaitu’s bowling action and Sridhar’s batting performance. Whether you believe it or not, the people who never showed up in the cricket ground were part of this event. (e.g: Gyan kiran, Aditya, Naveen, Suresh, Shirish, Aswin, Kiran pothina, Rahul, Praveen, Mahesh and few others). It was a time pass for all those who don’t sleep at nights. I don’t know whose idea was this, but it was fun for all the hostel mates of MSIT. I miss a lot those days, and I miss you all guys.

Silver Jubilee Birthday

29/01/2010. Yeah! My 25th birthday.. A good friend from my intermediate class shares the same day. Happy silver jubilee birthday to Chaitanya.

I’ve gotten so many birthday wishes, cakes, gifts from all of you. That’s really sweet :) Thank you so much.

It was really awesome to complete 25 years of life and celebrating with my friends. I had a great time with all my friends, colleagues and students. I still couldn’t believe that I cut a total of 5 cakes on this day. After a long time, I met some of my MSIT classmates and we all had a great time having dinner together. I am very thankful to my colleagues and Sub-juniors batch at MSIT and my classmates for making this day memorable for me. Here are some pics and videos taken on my birthday…

It's my 25th Birthday

Today I turn 25. If the letters L I F E constitute 100 years, I finished one quarter of that race. Some say life as “Living In Faith Everyday”, some others say “Living In Forever Experiences”. Whatever it may be, I am Living It to the Fullest Every day. These Birthdays remind me that I am getting older but when I look back to the past I have many more beautiful days in my life. This time, things changed a lot compared to my previous birthday. Finished my college life, started career, Staying outside with friends, but only one thing didn’t change... Playing games and sports like Cricket, Volleyball, Shuttle badminton etc. Hope it will continue all the way my life..:-)
